The castel had been bought by Pauls family in the 60s. Some parts of it had been renovated, some parts had been used as a summer-time home. When we came back from Australia, where we met in2010, the castel was our first home in France. It served as a base point to find work and an appartment in Grenoble. We enjoyed inhabitating these old walls, full of history and potential and we started dreaming about renovations.

Interestingly, we always had the notion of ” when shit hits the fan, we will come here”.

It was in late 2019 where we started to feel an itch as to move out of the city. I am rather used to manifest my life story through synchronicity, and so it appeared to be the right moment for us us to recieve the Castel. In 2020 the paperwork got finalised and we had a lot of time to make floor plans, financial plans and so on. Confinements where a very nice time for us, being together in family and dreaming up our new life in Beaufort.

We moved in the summer of 2020 to Beaufort, where we could stay in the neighboring house until the first renovations are done.

In the summer of 2021 we got married.

Renovations, parenthood and work are a challange to our relationship, but we do not forget how lucky we are to create our dream-castel on this beautiful spot on earth. Gratitude, gentilness and strong boundries are needed to keep the flow and build our high frequency lifestyle.
